Prodigals (working title)

When Mar moves back into to her mom’s basement and gets hired at the church she grew up in, she’s reunited with her onetime youth group besties Faith, who is now head of People Operations, and Julie, who now serves as an outspoken (and openly bisexual) volunteer with progressive goals. Though the three once bonded during Wednesday night carpools over Relient K songs and scripture, they now have to reconcile their very different faith journeys in the intervening years. Old wounds and new points of view disrupt their ministry efforts as queerness and the non-denominational movement collide.
